Snufkin ( in Finnish Nuuskamuikkunen) is a character in the Moomin series of books authored by Tove Jansson, appearing in six of the nine books. He is the best friend of the series' protagonist, Moomintroll, and lives a nomadic lifestyle. Snufkin is a lonesome philosophical traveller and lives in a tent, smokes a pipe and plays the harmonica.

I love the Moomin books and I'm also a huge fan of the comic strip!

These are all stills from my animation named 'Working Hard'. It's not still quite finished, I am currently working with the sound. I finished all the visual material during my study period in Belgium. The story isn't so strong but I'm trying to descrabe the artistic work flow by showing pens, erasers, pen sharpeners etc. having sex with each others. Hopefully I'll manage to end this project in the end of this month!

I made this picture after hearing last week's fabulous news about US supreme court deciding in favour of same sex marriage. Unfortunately same sex marriages are still illegal in my home country, Finland, but hopefully that will change soon, maybe even this year.

Illustration for a website called Illustration Friday in which a new topic is posted each Friday and you have one week to draw, paint or doodle your picture. This week's topic was 'Sweet' so of course my first thought was to draw a candy pooping unicorn.
